How to make shattered text in Gimp 2.8.10 (Requested)

Hi everyone, here is a tutorial on how I made a shattered text effect in Gimp 2.8.10. This was a requested tutorial by one of the viewers. The original image that I had made was made in Photoshop. I show you guys how to do the effect in Gimp. The effect is fairly easy to make. It can get complicated at times. But all in all it is not that hard to do.
