Hi everyone, In this tutorial I will show you this quick but cool looking vintage effect. We are going to use hue and saturation, brightness and contrast, and the curves in this tutorial. I just wanted to familiarize you guys with these tools a little in Gimp. You can do all sorts of cool things with just those three filters. This effect can be used on a bunch of different images. The vintage photo look is pretty popular now a days. I was inspired to do this look because I was looking at some old photos. I seen the low saturation and the magenta in there. I also showed you a different way on how to make a vignette in this tutorial. I hope you all enjoy the tutorial.
In this post, I am showcasing the shattered text effect that I did. The shattered text effect is an awesome effect. It is also an easy effect to create. The are a few textures and some great shattered glass stock in this image. The image took a total of about 30 minutes or so to create. I love this effect. It is great to put on your websites or ven use it as a wallpaper for your computer. Shattered is the key in this image. You want to make sure you make your text look shattered. I think I accomplished that with mine. I hope you enjoy this shattered text effect.
